The Secret Garden

An immersive edition is the complete, unabridged book, brought to life with hundreds of premium, full-page illustrations. We describe the experience as somewhere between reading a book and watching a movie: instead of a picture every few chapters, the artwork follows the story from beginning to end, with each page carefully designed to make the reading experience as captivating as the story itself. Studies suggest illustrated reading can be nearly twice as enjoyable and keep people reading around 30% longer (National Literacy Trust, 2023; Mounguengui & Ilouga, 2019).

Most illustrated classics have a handful of illustrations, many of them black-and-white or covering a fraction of a page. This one has 106 unique, premium, full-page artworks running through the entire book in carefully designed spreads. There's truly nothing else like it: editions with anything close to this amount of art are usually $100+ collector books. Our pricing is kept deliberately affordable for everyday reading, while still being one of the most beautiful books you'll own.

• Students reading the book for school or university

Yes. Every Kinolit edition contains the complete original text, without abridgement or simplification.

This edition contains 106 full-page, original illustrations, created with exceptional attention to detail and quality by our talented 2D art team.

Almost every page features a full illustration, so the artwork stays with you continuously as you read. On the rare text-led pages, ambient textures and visual design preserve the flow for a maximally immersive experience.

We do! Every illustration in a Kinolit book is a result of the work of experienced art directors, storyboarders, digital artists, graphic designers and other art specialists based in Europe and North America, primarily Canada, Germany, Ukraine and Spain. Each edition contains 30-200 full-page illustrations and represents hundreds, sometimes thousands, of hours of dedicated human work. Images are conceived, storyboarded, drafted and redrafted, then painted with attention to detail and continuity across the whole book. Depending on the title and art style, we may also use AI-assisted tools during rendering and refinement. You can read more about how we use them in our AI Policy.

This edition measures 6"x9". The paperback is a high-quality book for everyday reading, meant to be carried around, lent out, and lived with. The hardcover is the same edition, bound as a gift.

Absolutely. Kinolit editions feel premium and impressive the moment they're opened, with hundreds of pages of artwork built around a globally beloved story. A strong gift for readers, art lovers, or anyone with a particular connection to the works of Frances Hodgson Burnett.
